So I’ve been in the hospital for five days due to a blood clot in my arm after my dislocation. And in these five days, I have realized so damn much. I’ve realized that some doctors are condescending and think their top shit just because they make top dollar (maybe partially true), I’ve learned that nurses are the sweetest most underpaid people ever and should be paid almost equivalent to a doctors salary for doing their bitch work, but the most important thing I’ve learned is that I literally don’t give a fuck about anyone but the people who were there for me the entire time while I went crazy in that room.
My mom and I have disagreed and all our lives. All my life I’ve been convinced that I was the least favorite child and that she just couldn’t stand but. But things changed after she took five days to be there for me from her busy schedule at work and rushed to get me food and to make me feel better. My father, who hasn’t been there all my life and left when I was little drove down from Atlanta to see me. My stepfather stayed in my room for hours on end with my brother and watched movies with me and talked to me. My older cousin took off work and gave me flowers and spent hours with me as well, talking to me and waiving me comfort. My aunt and uncle too. And my boyfriend. Bradley came every single day and stayed all day no matter how tough it got. He brought me food and Starbucks and a bear and so many Harry Potter movies but most importantly he spent so much time with me. He helps me with the shots I have to give myself daily and does everything with so much care and love.
So this rant serves to prove to myself that I really have everyone that I need in my life and I couldn’t be more content. :)
